Business Tourism - Exhibition park

This exceptional tool, which had been lacking up till now, will give a new boost to business tourism, not only in the Alpes-Maritimes, but throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region as well.

An international dimension

The future exhibition park will enrich the business tourism equipment offer (with the likes of the Nice Acropolis convention center), which has made the French Riviera a key location for leading events. With its large dimensions (75 000 m2), and flexible, adjustable design, this major project is destined to host a range of European and international events of all sizes: trade fares and exhibitions, congresses, seminars, professional gatherings… Set on the location of the current MIN (Market of National Interest)- it will be only two steps away from the Nice Côte d’Azur airport and the future Nice-St Augustin-Airport multimodal hub, (in particular, the future railway station).

An opportunity for business tourism

Thanks to this new economic tool, new companies linked to business tourism will be launched within the Nice Côte d’Azur metropolis, with jobs created in such areas as events management and communication, specialized manpower, stands and promotional materials for exhibitions… On a broader scale, an increase in business tourism will impact a whole range of local activities from hotels and restaurants, to logistics, to transport services. At “full cruise”, this initiative should have an important impact on the region, injecting 750 million euros/year into the local economy, representing some 9 million euros/year in fiscal revenue. The Grand Arénas operation has anticipated the new exhibition park’s success: The first phase will be built on 75 000 m2 , with a possible extension, in the second phase, of up to 30 000 m2.
