Presentation of Nice Meridia's model by Christian Devillers
On March 13th at this year’s MIPIM, Christian Estrosi, Deputy-Mayor of Nice and President of the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, as well as Christian Tordo, President of the EPA (urban development agency) plaine du Var, were joined by Christian Devillers and Josep Lluis Mateo, respectively lead architects and urban planners of Nice Méridia and the Grand Arénas projects, in the unveiling of the new Nice Méridia model replica and three new project visuals.
As one of the EPA plaine du Var’s flagship projects, the Nice Méridia urban technopolis offers a space for R&D and formation purposes in the domains of environmental studies, sustainable growth, healthcare and contact-free mobile services, in close collaboration with the institutions installed in Sophia Antipolis.
Nice Méridia blends urban life to a diversity of functions by providing employee housing units, research facilities, local businesses and public services.
Christian Estrosi: “This project spatially reorganises the harmonious cohabitation of economic activities and housing programs. This cohabitation is at the core of the ‘urban technopolis’ concept.”
